Empathy and connection: the power of language skills

Knowledge about human behavior is detailed in literature. What we think, want, can do, experience, or wish is all captured in books. Reading stories — or listening to them — can inspire you and give insight into the world of others. It lets you get to know and (better) understand them, and also to empathize with their experiences.

During the meetings of Foundation Tail Light, participants and teachers read, listen, speak, write, and think together. Everyone works on their own language goals, which can include reading and writing. For example, as a newcomer, or improving your handwriting if that is your wish. You can be a student, a manager, or an entrepreneur. You can also be someone who plays an indispensable role at work. If so, you are likely looking for an opportunity to learn how to communicate professionally. By learning this, you will know how to articulate your questions. You will also be capable of sharing your experiences. Additionally, you can make your skills visible and explain it. It is important to learn from each other in this process.

Storytelling is an important part of our strategy. These are meetings where people can share their (written) stories, allowing us to connect with each other and with ourselves. Language offers the opportunity to develop warm connections, provided you have enough language skills. Foundation Tail Light aims to realize this language skill. This enables people to build the desired human connections both privately and at work. So that people will be seen and understood.
